Like yoga, Thai Yoga Massage originates from ancient India. It combines the techniques of acupressure with assisted yoga stretches to energy lines throughout the body known as ‘Ten Sen’ to create harmony and balance in the body.

What are the benefits of Thai Yoga Massage?
Yoga Thai Massage is sometimes called ‘Lazy man’s yoga’. Like a yoga class it’s a holistic practice that promotes wellbeing by removing blockages and allowing ‘prana’ to flow.
It can be used therapeutically to:
- address issues such as back, shoulder and knee pain
- Relieve aching muscles, neck and shoulder tension, headache and menstrual cramps
- Improve circulation
- deeply relax the receiver and help with sleep problems.
What happens if I come for a massage?
During Thai Yoga massage you’re fully clothed and you lie on a futon mattress on the floor. Please wear loose-fitting clothes.
The massage starts at your feet and finishes at your head. During the massage I may ask you to lie on your back, your front, on your side or come into a seated position. As in a yoga class, I use cushions and a bolster to support you in different positions. I love Thai massage because it feels more ‘three dimensional’ than lying on a massage table.
